Hair stylist Kyunghwa Bae was drawn to the craft at an early age, inspired by the way a hair stylist could shape a look as if painting directly onto a canvas of hair.
Beginning her career at 17, she trained for four years as an apprentice. She later moved to Ireland, where she worked as a designer and gained hands-on experience with a wide range of hair textures. This exposure sparked a deeper interest in technique, leading her to complete the Vidal Sassoon course in London. After returning to Korea, she spent four years assisting in the editorial scene, refining her eye and sensibility before launching her independent career in 2020. 이후 아일랜드로 건너가 디자이너로 활동하며 다양한 모질을 직접 경험하고 그 과정에서 기술에 대한 탐구를 확장해 런던 비달사순 코스를 수료하며 완성도를 높였다. 한국으로 돌아온 뒤에는 에디토리얼 현장에서 4년간 어시스턴트로 활동하며 자신만의 시선과 감각을 다듬고 2020년 독립 후, 현재는 한국을 기반으로 헤어를 통한 패션과 이미지 메이킹 전반을 아우르며 활동을 이어가고 있다.
