Biography

Photographer Yookoon Lim crafts images defined by restrained frames and a quiet sense of tension. Originally trained in fashion design, he gradually gravitated toward photography, and since establishing his independent in 2021, has continued to refine a distinct visual language of his own.

Drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines, particularly cinema, installation art, and performance, Lim approaches photography as a space where atmosphere, emotion, and narrative subtly intersect. Film remains a central influence, offering glimpses into different cultures, eras, and emotional landscapes that continually expand both his perspective and visual sensibility.
